Kessingland was the site for installation of the piece '' Tension Lines''. It was work that was designed as a response to the crumbly cliffs of Happisburgh, however it was converted for this expanse of coastline. The work was made up of steel stakes which anchored lines of blue polypropylene rope (associated with the fishing industry along the coast) across the beach, pulled taught to express the tension between the land and the sea. The ropes followed the increasing gradient of the beach, and appear to be map contour lines imprinted onto the coastline.
